Thankful!

We're leaving for Alabama tomorrow and won't be back until Monday morning.

Payton had a Thanksgiving Feast at school last Thursday. They made these shirts for them to wear... the body of the turkey is her foot print.

I have so much to be thankful for this year! I have been blessed beyond measure.
~ my amazing husband who continues to surprise me
~ the light of my life, Payton Elizabeth... my heart swells more and more with each passing day
~ my parents who are there for me all.the.time
~ my sister who is such an incredible friend
~ my friends who keep me grounded, laughing and loving my life

Koozie Kraziness

Or if you're from AL, it'd be Huggie Hysteria ;)

I'm so sorry dear friends if you've tried to contact me the past few days.

I've been embroidering and sewing koozies for Lane to take on his business hunting trip this weekend. When I agreed to do it, I thought, "40 koozies, no big deal." It wasn't a huge deal, but his logo is a pain, read tediously time consuming, to trim up! Look very closely at all those threads that have to be snipped. On every. single. one.

They look fantastic, though I wish I was getting paid in more than hugs and kisses. I finished them about 15 minutes ago and am sitting on the couch with a glass of wine about to go to bed.

Patti and Rita, doesn't the Women's Ministry need water bottle koozies?? ;)

Fairy Tale Chair and Curls

Every year, Penney Corporate has an event called EBID that lasts for several weeks to benefit United Way. Departments across the company place their samples up for an online auction. There's no proxy bidding, so not a whole lot of work gets done. You can get some AMAZING deals and the money donated is then spent locally.

When I was pregnant with P.. didn't even know she was a girl!, I found this chair and loved it! I think I paid $30 for it. I kept it at my parent's house until last weekend. When I brought it downstairs, P broke out into a HUGE grin. She loves that she can climb up on it herself.

Miss Priss' hair is getting so long and twisting into a ringlets.

Picture Day

Today was picture day at MDO. It should be very interesting to see how they turned out.

Here's what Miss Priss wore:

Sweet Girl

It was a hectic morning today at the Chamblee house. I was trying to make some hot tea and breakfast while Lane was occupying P upstairs. My tea routine is Splenda first, then the tea bag, then the water, so I don't have to dirty up a spoon. I still don't know how it happened, but the mug tipped over and rolled off the cabinet. You'd think the handle would've stopped it, but it was too close to the edge.

Lane and P came racing down the stairs to see what caused cussing so early in the morning, and saw one of my huge Pottery Barn mugs in a million pieces all over the kitchen and into the pantry. Lane grabbed my shoes so I wouldn't cut myself and P thought I needed her shoes too.

Boo!

My little bumblebee was ready for candy last Friday night! She had a ball even though she had an ear infection and a terrible cold. We started in our neighborhood and then went to see the Renfrows. Lane and Jeff passed out candy while Elaine, Allie, and I took the kiddos trick or treating. Payton was a rockstar and didn't go to bed until well after 9:00.

With Auntie Allie, the Swan Princess
Trick or Treat! First stop, the Dornans.
After every house, we had to stop and see what loot we got.

Look at this face! Pure joy (and looking quite a bit like me....finally)!

Rocky Top Tennessee

I'm currently in Tennessee with my mom, helping my sister move back to Ft Campbell AND getting to experience Michael's homecoming from his second tour in Iraq. We left on Sunday morning, stopped overnight in Jackson, TN and made it to Clarksville yesterday afternoon. We've unloaded the 3 cars we drove down, and helped Allie unpack as much as we can without knowing where she wants everything.

Payton is home with Daddy and my mother in law. I'm missing her like crazy and trying not to cry every time I think about her.

These are from Michael's R&R in May. Michael is smitten with his niece and P LOVES her uncle Michael. He's super bummed Payton isn't here for homecoming.
